Cubic Tragedy
"Cubic Tragedy" is a funny, smart, well done short animation, with hilarious references to CG software.
I just love this short film about the pursuit of perfection and its consequences.

Alma
Creepy but, amazing.
Alma is Rodrigo Blaas’ first short film as a director. Originally from Spain, Rodrigo Blaas has worked in animation for more than ten years, in Spain and in the United States.
Seizing the possibility of directing his first independent short film, Rodrigo Blaas asked some of the best artists in their field to take part in this independent project: French animator Bolhem Bouchiba, character designer Carlos Grangel and Sergio Pablos, ArtDirector Alfonso Blaas, music composer Mastretta and sound designer Tom Myers.
I love the shot from inside the doll's eye. Beautifully done!

Bus 44 ( 车四十四 )
Based on a true story, Bus 44 takes place on the outskirts of a small town, where a bus driver (Gong) and her passengers encounter highway robbers. "Bus 44" carries a universal theme that travels across all boundaries and societies, trespassing the dark side and bright side of human behavior.
The film won awards at Venice Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and was invited to Cannes Film Festival; the first time a Chinese short film won in all three festivals' history.

CECI N’EST PAS UNE MOUCHE (This is not a fly)
A story about a man in an art gallery, a painted fly that seems to be playing mind games on him, and an angry security camera that will not let him get too close to find out what is going on. "Ceci n'est pas une mouche" is a story inspired by the painting Saint Catherine of Alexandria by Carlo Crivelli and how it evokes the idea behind Magrittes Ceci nest pas une pipe (this is not a pipe). The film was completed as part of the Transcriptions: Animation project for the National Gallery London.
Directed by Carlos Fraiha
